The Kirloskar Group is all set to play God.
In a TV ad the engineering company claimed it can lift lakes that stand in the way of development projects and relocate them. So all projects that earn the ire of environmental groups can hire the group’s services. The company said the ad is consistent with Kirloskar’s environmentfriendly approach.
It claims to lay much store on reducing its carbon footprint. But it’s not unnatural perhaps for an engineering company to root for technofixes. For example, Sanjay Kirloskar, the company’s top honcho, has in the past described river-linking as solution to like problems including flood and food shortage.
